Join us for a hands-on Monotub Mushroom Growing Workshop, perfect for beginner growers and fungi enthusiasts alike!
In this event, you'll learn how to grow mushrooms from the ground up! This event is hosted by JCM in collaboration with Peach Collins. Get stuck in making monotubs with mushroom spawn and pasturised CVG. We'll guide you through the entire process: from selecting the right substrate, correct field capacity and looking after your mushroom monotub until it successfully grows your mushrooms for you to harvest.
Each participant will make up their monotub to take home, along with detailed instructions for continued care and future harvests. No prior experience is needed - Just bring your curiosity and wear clothes you don't mind getting a little messy! All equipment will be supplied by JCM meaning you'll have a monotub for years to come and the knowledge of how to utilise it!
Duration: Approximately 3 hours
Includes: Instruction, materials, your own mushroom monotub, and farm tour
What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, this event is later than our usual workshops, so the Rusty Duck Cafe won't be open, please bring any snacks or refreshments that you may want.
